Home Area:
Reno, Nevada
Favorite music:
I’m not a huge music person so I mostly listen to National Public Radio for the latest world news while I’m scrapping. I also listen to stand up comedy albums (like Steve Martin) over and over. If I am in a musical mood I like Fiona Apple, Missy Higgins and that kind of funky, indie rock.
Favorite food:
I love a really good Mediterranean meal- hummus, Greek soups and big salads. Basically anything with a lot of lemon but without seafood.
Favorite snack:
Skittles, Red Vines, Cheese popcorn.
Favorite drink:
Non-Alcoholic - Sodas fresh from a fountain- Mr. Pibb and Classic Coke
Alcoholic - Blended Margaritas and Tom Collins.
Favorite color:
Pink for scrapbooking tools, green and copper for decorating and just about anything fun and bright for clothing.
A Bit About Angela:
I have been married for 12 years to my college next door neighbor, Scott. Within 5 minutes of meeting him, everyone always says, “Oh SCOTT, you’re SO funny” which he is. The first thing Scott and I learned about each other is we both think Spider-Man is the best comic book superhero overall. We now have the cutest 7 year-old ever and we named him Parker to commemorate our mutual Spider-Man appreciation. Our beautiful daughter Tabitha is now 5 years-old and, while Scott will tell you we named her because we’re Bewitched fans, but really? Stephen King’s wife is named Tabitha too and we’re fans of his also.
I am currently a stay-at-home mom but I spent my pre-mom years as a corporate trainer and I miss having that built in audience at work. To help keep my training skills in shape, I love to teach crafting classes and meet new people whenever possible. I secretly wish I could be a stand-up comic so anyone taking my classes is usually subjected to hearing the latest funny story about my life. I often find myself in situations that would make for the perfect, wacky redhead situation comedy show. All I need is a camera crew.
I am known for my tendency to get really enthusiastic about whatever new and random subject I get interested in. I’m also an avid reader. I love crafting and I am fascinated by the possibilities of online communities so I can’t think of a more enjoyable way for me to spend my time than being a Fisk-a-teer. My goal is to help every person I meet to find that (sometimes hidden) creative streak that I know each of us was born with. I take the statement, “I’m not creative at all” as a personal challenge.
